Court Room
The second floor contains the Court Room with the impressive area of 9 x 32 m, without counting two tower bays. The arrangement of the room, its application and location show its medieval origin. Such important halls of this type were situated on the highest floor of the castle.
Original decoration includes two fireplaces from the 17th century located by the wall on the courtyard side. The fireplaces are made of white sandstone, the type of decoration and the nature of work indicate a good stone workshop of Italian origin.
The present ceiling of the Court Room has been totally reconstructed; but in the past it was probably painted white and this could be the origin of the former name White Room.
